Gruhak covers Joe Cocker - With A Little Help From My Friends

Gruhak is a cover band from Dubrovnik, Croatia. They are into blues and play some pretty mean Led Zeppelin covers. Talk about a band doing it right. They'd be a cool band to see live. Awesome!

Eric Johnson - Cliffs of Dover, live in 1990

This tune was on the great album 'Ah Via Musicom'. It's a bit slow to start off with an he goes nuts at around the 3 minute mark. It's worth watching the whole thing. Blues, rock and a bit of jazz thrown in. Eric's guitar tone is always amazing to listen to. Definitely the best live guitar sound I've ever heard. His chord voicings are incredible. He did one of the best instructional dvd's ever done called 'Total Electric Guitar'. Even if you aren't really into his style you'll learn a lot from it as it goes through advanced guitar playing techniques that you can use for any style of playing. A true legend.

Bass Guitar Truss Rod Adjustment

This is a good video to watch for guitarists and bass players on adjusting the truss rod. The video is by Joe Rocha who puts up lots of great instructional videos for bass players. Even if you don't want to become a guitar tech, it's good to know at least a little bit about how your guitar works in case you have to do some emergency repairs on it but also so you know what people do when they set up your instrument for you. A good set up can make a big difference to how your instrument feels. If it feels really good, it will help inspire you to play better.

Laura Chavez & Rene Solis - Little Fox Blues Jam

Laura Chavez is an awesome blues guitar player from Mountain View, California. She grew up playing in blues clubs around the Bay Area and is currently touring the world as part of blues singer Candye Kane's band. I saw her playing with the Candye Kane band who were doing a support set for Charlie Musselwhite. Chavez is a great blues guitar player. If you get the chance to see her play in your town, go check her out. Laura is the Real Deal.

Curtis Mayfield - Pusherman

Great performance by Curtis Mayfield with the band from David Sanborn's show Night Music. Real nice drumming by Omar Hakim and Sanborn plays a sweet sounding sax solo to add to the tune.
