Play Music With Backing Tracks, Friends, Teachers and Other Musicians – More is More.

Playing along with backing tracks and other musicians is the best way to learn to play an instrument. It's not only more enjoyable than locking yourself away in a room and going it alone, but it will help highlight areas you can work on and will inspire you to improve. Most importantly, it's a lot more fun.

Playing along with backing tracks and other musicians is the best way to learn to play an instrument. It's a lot more fun to play along with instrumentals and others, than it is to just play an instrument on your own. Not only is it more fun, but when you play along, it will force you to be in time with a beat.

The fastest way to get good at guitar, or any instrument, is to get out there and play with other musicians; preferably ones who are better players, with more knowledge than you. Playing music with others will make you play to the best of your ability. It will also highlight some of the key areas that you need to work on. Although it can be daunting in a live situation, you will find that this will help inspire you to go away and practice so that you will move up to level of the musicians you are playing with.

When learning music, it’s a good idea to find a good teacher and take some lessons. This may be your first introduction to playing with another musician. You will learn good technique, theory and be given new ideas that you can go away and work on. Another great thing about having regular lessons is that they force you to get into a routine and practice more than you would if you are just teaching yourself. This is partly because you feel like you have to present or perform and show that you are improving and working on the material from previous classes.

Whether or not it is with backing tracks, friends or with a music teacher, every situation that lets you play along with music, recorded or live, will help improve immensely. The more people that you jam with and learn from, the more ideas and concepts you'll discover yourself. This will enable you to eventually create your own style of playing which will give you your own voice on an instrument.

That is what music is all about, learning, sharing, growing and above all, having fun.
